Not many folks know this, but the very FIRST batch of scones baked in The Meeting Place oven was our much-loved Maple Pecan Oat scones! We absolutely adore Maple – living abroad for 15 years, New York Maple Syrup was the single item that found a nook or cranny in my suitcase every time I came home for a visit!
Today at The Meeting Place we’re celebrating Maple Monday with our Maple-glazed Walnut Scones and our Maple Bacon Muffins (our biggest hit during last summer’s Carnival of Sales) in our pie case. We’re also offering a Maple Glazed Turkey Breast wrap, with a Maple dijon mustard and maple glazed walnuts for lunch. Finally, we’re rolling out our early-spring ‘Seasonal Sipper’ – a homemade Maple Cream Soda – and featuring Maple Macchiatos and Maple Lattes! Have we mentioned how much we LOVE Maple?
As part of our ongoing crowdfunding campaign to raise what we need to go ‘Hyper Local’ this summer, we’ve included $75 to help us dabble in sugaring off ourselves. As soon as the sap really starts to run, we will be collecting it in vintage Sap Buckets and setting up a makeshift ‘Sugar Shack’ right outside our front door! As a special perk to those who love Maple as much as we do, we’re offering a fresh-baked batch of Maple-glazed Pecan Oat scones (8) as a thank-you Perk to those who support our ‘Go Hyper’ campaign at the $25.00 level today! Thanks for your support!
